le beaujolais

The name of “Beaujolais” comes from 1031. It was called ”Bellijocum”. Vineyards, of course, were planted on the banks of the river Arar, as testimonies of the times suggest. But, the story of the wine-growing Beaujolais begins in the Xth century.
History also remembers the powerful house of sires de Beaujeu.
Today, three colours symbolize our area: green, for its nature and its mountains; red, for its vineyards; and yellow, for its golden stones.

We propose 4 discovery tours in the “pays du Beaujolais”. If you want, a service provider could drive you to discover the wonders of our area. It is for 4 people minimum.
